update: new school and... a pandemic?

Posted by ishamadasu on September 3, 2020 at 12:00 AM Comments comments (0)

Heyy guys,

Long time, no see! It's been nearly two years and I apologize. I've just been really busy lately. I'm a junior now! I get to worry about college applications and essays and the SATs and the whole shabang. So much has happened in these last two years. I got transferred to a new school last year that was opening because I lived closer there. It sucked because I had to leave all my friends at the old school behind, but the environment here is much more inclusive and welcoming.

Oh, and I'm in the middle of a pandemic right now. No biggie. Just a virus that has killed millions of people that happened to be named after a beer company. I have been in quarantine for 5 months. 5 MONTHS. I go outside every once in a while but I haven't gone to school in forever. We had to do remote learning earlier this year and now, I can honestly say it's a lot easier than in-person learning, especially the schedule since school started again. I would 100% learn better in a classroom though, because it's easier to collaborate with people and the teacher. My prediction is that they will find a vaccine in January next year, and everything will start to go back to normal next summer. Of course, that's assuming people aren't idiots and they actually follow social distancing guidelines. I hope I get to write back next year and see if I'm right! For now, it's late at night and I have school tomorrow but it was nice to catch up after a long time.

I promise I'll update when I can. For now, to Gaffney BOA we go! Wish us luck! See you cool cats later! I gotta pack because my mom is telling me to :P moms, am i right? byee

Hi guys. Yes, I know what you're thinking. Did Isha quit her blog? Nope, I haven't. But I've been busy with YouTube and school and it's just crazy hectic. I will try my very hardest to upload at least once a month. I have a few things to tell you. First, I graduated from elementary school and got good grades on my EOGs. Second, I got a MacBook Air for my birthday! I'm using it right now to type. Third, I got a new desk to do my homework. My knees are leaning on it right now. Finally, I already started middle school and the only thing I regret is the locker pod. So crowded!!! My friend has an Indian function so I'm going there today night. Also, yesterday was a very very significant day in US history. It was 9/11. I honor all the survivors and heroes who saved our country. Sorry this entry was really long but I just had a few things to tell you.

Recipe For Chocolate Cake

Posted by ishamadasu on June 27, 2014 at 10:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Hey guys, it's me, Isha. So today I have the recipe for chocolate cake. (Yum!) Have fun making it and enjoy!

Ingredients

2 cups white sugar

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two nine inch round pans.

2. In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla, mix for 2 minutes on medium speed of mixer. Stir in the boiling water last. Batter will be thin. Pour evenly into the prepared pans.

3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cake tests done with a toothpick. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: This could also be good for summer birthday parties.
